Maternity Care in Ravalli County
Your birthing experience is going to be an event to remember, and at Marcus
Daly Memorial Hospital, we strive to make it one of the most extraordinary
days of your life. When anticipating the birth of their child, many parents
start depicting their ideal birth experience. Our team goes above and
beyond to try and make this dream a reality. We want your delivery to
be as comfortable and safe as possible so that you can start this chapter
of your life with a positive first step.
Through our family-centered maternity care, you are included in decision
making during labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Once your baby enters
the world, we observe 24 hour rooming in with no separation of mother and baby.
An Intimate Experience
As a rural area hospital, we are able to provide our patients with very
intimate care. We work with parents throughout the pregnancy, and closely
monitor the growing child to keep up with its health and wellbeing. Our
experienced and skilled physicians are trained in a variety of birthing
techniques, including C-sections, and act quickly to ensure the safety
of both mother and child throughout labor and beyond.
All newborns born at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital go home in their personal
car seat and receive a free professional photo shoot, along with several
other complimentary services and items we provide for new families.
Baby-Friendly USA announced that Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital has received
prestigious international recognition as a Baby-Friendly Designated birth
facility in 2016. There are over 20,000 designated "Baby-Friendly"
hospitals and the award is only given after completing a rigorous on-site
survey. To read more about this honorable designated award,
Childbirth & Lactation Classes
We encourage expectant parents to attend our childbirth and lactation classes
taught by professional medical staff at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.
During these classes, you will meet with the medical staff and delivery
teams and learn about the wide array of delivery services we provide.
We also provide instruction on exercises, breathing techniques, and pain
management options that will help you through pregnancy and labor. Our
classes sizes are small so that patients can receive more one-on-one attention
and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
