Careers at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital

For a small town, we offer big benefits, competitive salaries, with paid vacation and time off for you to have work life balance! Below is a list of the benefits available to Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital employees.

Medical

Our affordable comprehensive Group plan offers medical and prescription coverage to all full and part time employees. A 40% discount is offered to all employees and their dependents for utilizing MDMH facilities for their medical needs.

Pharmacy

We offer our employees and their family members a wholesale price on most prescriptions and over the counter medications.

Dental

A group dental insurance is available to all full time and part time employees. We have two plans for you to choose from: a High Plan and a Low plan. Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital will pay the premium for the Low plan for fulltime employees.

Life Insurance

Employees may elect Life Insurance for themselves and family members at a reduced price. There is a guaranteed issue of $150,000 for the employee.

Vision

Also available is a group Vision Plan. A 25% discount is available on eyewear purchased at our optical department.

Flexible Spending Account

Employees can put aside pre-tax dollars for qualified medical, dental, vision and RX expenses. They can also set aside pre-tax dollars for their childcare and pre-school expenses.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

Employees may elect the Short-Term Disability benefit to supplement their income when experiencing a medical absence. It pays up to two-thirds of an employee’s salary for a total of 24 weeks. If the employee is still unable to return to work, the hospital purchases Long Term disability for the full-time employee.

Long Term Care Insurance

After ten years of employment, the hospital will pay for a long term care policy. You can buy up for additional security and the benefit is transferable should ever leave employment.

Vacation & Disability Time Off

Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital incorporates vacation, holidays and sick leave into a single plan. A full time employee, working 80 hours per pay period, will accrue 24 days (assuming an eight (8) hour work day) each year. Employees may choose to cash in no less than 40 hours up to a maximum of 80 hours each calendar year. Accruals rates grow to up to 34 days a year as length of service increases. Accrual limits are between 240 and 280 hours depending on length of service. In addition, extended illness hours are also accrued. This added benefit pays for lost hours due to an absence caused by an employee’s illness which extends past 40 consecutive scheduled hours or it may be used immediately upon admission overnight to a hospital or if you have surgery performed in an out-patient surgery center or hospital. A full-time employee may accrue a maximum of 48 hours per year and can accrue up to 480 hours.
