Layperson Naloxone Training

What You Will Learn - You will acquire a foundational understanding of the opioid public health crisis and the contributing factors and solutions. How to train individuals to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone (brand name NARCAN). The Layperson Naloxone Trainer Course will teach you how to deliver the program within your community(ies).

This Layperson Naloxone Program is available for individuals, healthcare professionals, groups and organizations who are working to reduce the effects of the opioid public health crisis or who serve individuals at risk for opioid misuse, addition or overdose. The program is designed to be delivered to laypersons, including but not limited to individuals, families, groups/organizations, and community members.

  • About 1 hour

We can take 10 students with sessions lasting about one hour. Please call 375-4654 to set a time up for your organization.
