Advanced EMT Course

MDMH will be facilitating an Advanced EMT course starting September 4, 2019. The AEMT course is designed to prepare you to assess and treat patients with an increased scope of practice and skill set. The AEMT scope of practice includes all of the EMT scope of practice and adds advanced care by utilizing specialized training such as intravenous access, administration of emergency care medications, and provides advanced airway procedures for patients requiring additional treatment as a part of their care.

The Advanced EMT Course is blended with approximately:

50 hours of online didactic presentations

120 hours Emergency Department Clinical Rotations

120 hours of Ambulance Field Rotations

100 hours of Classroom Skill and Discussion Sessions.

Requirements for the AEMT course include 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician course, students will be qualified, if eligible, to test with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) to gain their AEMT Certification.

The AEMT class is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 5PM. The tuition is $500.00 and due by August 23, 2019. You will be required to purchase the premier package of JB Learning Navigate 2 AEMT With Book separately.
