Functional Strengthening Program

The Functional Strengthening Program for Seniors is designed to teach older individuals in the community how to safely and effectively strengthen their muscles in order to give them the power and agility they need to stay active and independent. Participants must have moderate balance in order to participate in this class. The program will focus on strengthening exercises that will not only build muscle strength, but also increase muscle power, maintain bone density, increase coordination and balance, and build independence in performing daily activities.
