What are your specialties and certifications?
Fellow of American Academy of Family Physicians; DOT certified; ACLS and
PALS certified.
Why did you go into medicine? Why did you choose your particular field?
Love of Science and people. Family practice allows me to work in all fields
of medicine.
What are some of your clinical interests?
ADD, Pediatrics, Mental Health.
What do you love about practicing medicine?
Helping patients to get healthier and happier.

What do you most want people to know about the way you practice medicine?
Spending enough time with each patient to get to know them as individuals.
What can your patients expect during an appointment?
My time and undivided attention to their problems and my best effort to
improve their health.
What do you wish you could tell every patient (and they would actually
do) and why?
Allow me to use my years of experience and be open to my ideas to help
them be as healthy as possible.

Surgeon General C. Everett Koop MD- Changed public attitude about smoking and AIDS.
Where did you grow up?
Auburn, Alabama.
What brought you to the Bitterroot Valley?
Love of the West and change from my Southern roots.

What do you enjoy about living and working in a small community like ours?
Seeing and working with patients in all aspects of community life.
Living in such a close-knit community, how do you create a successful work–life balance?
Taking time to go camping or hiking or visiting family.
What are some of your non-professional interests and favorite hobbies?
Boy Scouts, Cartooning, Hiking, photography, Fishing.
Is there anything about you that might surprise people?
I met my wife playing guitar in a Rock and Roll band playing in student
bars in Alabama.

Because Nice Matters.
Do you have pets?
One dog and two cats. Left the 2 Ball Pythons in Georgia with my son.
