Bio
I began my career in an OB-GYN clinic in Spokane WA and transitioned to
critical and trauma care in urban Trenton, New Jersey. Later I took on
the mantle of educating nurses and gaining my MSN and certification as
a nurse educator. I found a love in educating nurses and by extension
teaching my patients. Knowledge is power and responsibility and those
things are patient’s tools to better health.
My role as an Advanced Practice Nurse is more than diagnosing and prescribing,
it is to combine assessment and advocating for the needs of my patients.
Sometime this is far more difficult than just naming the problem, as it
requires forging a partnership with a person I’m I just getting
to know and working to get their needs met. Returning to Montana after
20 years of military life brought me and my family to this small place
where I can know my patients and work with them to affect positive changes
in their health and to have a positive impact on the world around me.
