Ravalli County Occupational Health Program
Keeping Montana’s Workforce Healthy, Save, and On the Job
From worksite injuries to heart disease every job comes with certain health
risks, no matter if your employees are working outside or sitting behind
a desk most of the day. The Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital Occupational
Health Program provides preventative care and illness/injury treatments
so that your workforce can stay healthy and quickly receive the medical
attention they need when they need it. Our program covers everything from
pre-employment screening to comprehensive injury care.
Employment Screenings & DOT Exams
We offer full service DOT physicals from a Federal Motor Carrier Certified
Medical Examiner, including option for Home Sleep Tests to screen for
obstructive sleep apnea. Additionally, we provide pre and post-employment
screenings for all types of businesses. These screenings include:
- Comprehensive physical exams
- Review of medical and immunization history
- Review and testing of the physical requirements of the position
Any additional services requested by the employer can be done same day,
including:
- Urine drug screen
- Lab work
- Immunizations
- Pulmonary function tests
- ECGs
- Specialized lift tests through physical therapy
Drug-Free Workplace
Drug-Free Workplace Programs focus on keeping the workplace a safe and
healthy environment for all its employees, customers and vendors. Our
services include:
- Certified BAT (blood alcohol testing) provider
- Random urine drug screens
- Post injury urine drug screens
Job Analysis & Injury Prevention
Job analysis can build a foundation for employee injury prevention programs
by describing job duties in a standardized and easily understood manner.
Our program offers:
- Functional capacity evaluations to assess job duties
- Review specific job machines, tools and equipment
- Analyze job environment and materials handling
- Assess work postures and develop ergonomic worksite modifications
- Create an effective pre-work screening program
- Analyze and classify high-risk jobs
Injury Care
Our clinic offers a comprehensive array of injury management services,
including:
- Cuts, fractures, exposures and other non-life-threatening medical injuries
- Accidental blood borne pathogen exposure, for example, needle-sticks
- First aid treatments that help reduce OSHA-reportable injuries
- Customized return-to-work guidelines
- An on-site coordinator to optimize communication including with worker’s
compensation carrier
- After-hours care through Convenient Care and the Emergency Department with
follow-up through Occupational Health
Specialized Packages
We can also design customized on-site services to meet your company’s
unique needs, such as:
- Flu shot clinics
- Health Fairs which can include BMI calculations, specialized lab draws
such as cholesterol panels, blood pressure testing
- TB skin tests
