MDMH to Host Ahn Trio as Part of Health Education Series

The Ahn Trio

Join The Ahn Trio, Juilliard trained sisters and internationally known musicians, for a music and health class at 3 p.m., at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital on Friday, Oct. 5.

The musicians will take attendees on a musical journey to teach the impact of music on overall well-being and how it can improve mood and memory and reduce stress and anxiety.

Dr. Yvonne Corchesne, from Corvallis Family Medicine, said she is a strong believer in the benefits of music.

“I think music helps in the very beginning stages of life, in utero, and I encourage pregnant moms to listen to music and have their babies to listen to music as they grow,” She said. “I think music will help them throughout their life and with end of life issues as well.”
