Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital hosts class for cooking healthy meals

November is National Diabetes Month.

Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital wants to help residents make healthier choices when planning their holiday meals.

On Thursday, Nov. 1, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the hospital will host the “Cooking Up Healthy Holiday Meals” class. The class will offer some helpful tips to avoid the holiday pounds by learning how to create diabetes friendly and cholesterol conscience meals.

Once people have the cooking tips and recipes for cooking healthy, they can sign up for the cooking class on Nov. 8, at www.mdmh.org/events and put the tips to work.
