“Low back pain is very, very common,” Simmerman said. “Statistics
show that 80 percent of adults experience low back pain at some point
in their lifetime and more than a 25 percent of adults reported experiencing
low back pain during the past 90-days.”
From 1990 to 2010 low back pain moved from being ranked as the sixth most
troublesome condition to the third most troublesome condition under lung
disease and heart disease.
