It's a boy: Ravalli County welcomes New Year's baby

McCartney John “Mac” Kanenwisher came in to the world at 3:17 p.m. on Jan. 1 and is the New Year’s Baby at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.

His proud parents, Spence and Alyssa Kanenwisher, waited to know the gender of their baby until he was born.

Delivery doctor James Zubernis said the delivery was perfect.

“It was a real family affair and they didn’t know what baby was until delivery,” he said. “I think it adds more meaning to the experience. I got to announce that it was a boy and everyone was happy. They were going to take whatever they got.”
